Scattering Ashes

Hello All ! I'm thinking of going to Ireland next May/June (for the Rory Gallagher Festival in Ballyshannon) & was thinking it would be a good opportunity to take my Mom's ashes with me. Her parents were born in Co. Clare (Mother in Kilrush, Father in Craggaknock) & I thought 1/3 in Kilrush, 1/3 in Craggaknock & 1/3 at the Cliffs.

QUESTION: Are there any legal issues with it & has anyone done this/had any issues ?
