Any information of Jordan or just some cities to move into you recommend. What is the language like there. Is English common?

I can only definitively answer one of your questions, that being with regards to speaking English. Indeed, most people whom you might meet in Jordan will have some knowledge, understanding and the ability to converse in English. Sentences might not be grammatically perfect, but you should be able to get what you want or where you want to go if you only speak English.

As for what city to move to... That really depends on the reason why you are moving there, what you are looking to accomplish, how long you will be there and how many people do you know in Jordan.

One thing you should know is that the unemployment rate is comparatively high, made even higher by the current influx of Syrian refugees (and the influx of Iraqi refugees prior to that) into the country!

In addition, and although my being a Jordanian citizen affords me entry without a Visa, there have been instances where I opted to use my U.S. passport upon arrival into Jordan on a Tourist Visa (which most people can easily obtain at the airport after paying the requisite fees, (and only did so because the lines for passport control for Jordanians were far longer than those for Foreigners),

I suspect that for you to gain lawful employment you would have to enter on a worker visa which might subject you to some additional restrictions and requirements. And as such, this is something I would look into before traveling to Jordan, if I were you.

This would then lead me to offer that you being able to find lawful employment might also be predicated on which country you are moving to Jordan from.

Good luck, one thing is for sure, you will be met with open arms as the majority of Jordan's population is very welcoming, in spite of the huge economic pressure that the country is experiencing nowadays ever since the crises in neighboring countries.
