Western women in Kuwait

I have received a job offer to teach English in Kuwait but am worried about one aspect of the country and culture: it's very hard for western women to find a boyfriend in Kuwait.

Obviously most of the men are Kuwaiti and I've heard they prefer not to have relationships with western women - not to mention the difficulties if you do get involved in a relationship with a Kuwaiti.

If I don't forge any connections with ex-pat guys am I doomed to a year in singleville?
