I am quite new to the site, and read a post a little while back about salons, it was very helpful, thanks. Anyway the thing I wanted to highlight was that going to the salon actually helped me to feel more at home here in Kuwait and actually turned out to be a great way to meet new people in a similar position to myself. I also found sitting having a coffee with my friend whilst having a pedicure much more relaxing than sitting at a coffee shop and having people stare etc. I am so pleased I chose to go to a western salon, not only for the obvious reasons, a great haircut etc but the environment was much more laid back and the staff were excellent. I have been to most of the western salons now but my favourites are Strands and Soho, the latter being much more stylish but both are equally friendly.
