Questions regarding Kuwait + Oilfield contacts

Hi everyone,
I recently started applying to overseas positions in the field of Slickline/Wireline for the oil and gas industry. I have received a few offers and me and the wife are now entertaining the thought of a relocation to Kuwait for a 1 year contract. Im looking to contact a few different people who might be able to answer a few questions of ours.

For any Canadian citizens or expats, anyone know the EXACT tax info? How long do i have to be out of country to not pay, must i denounce citizenship for it to be worth it? whats the real truth to making this work?

And if there are any oilmen on here that work in or around the slickline industry that could perhaps contact me privately to discuss going wages, salaries, etc.

We'd love to take this opportunity to move somewhere different, and the no taxes are great! However if i end up coming back to Canada and paying them here, theres no real advantage (other than the cultural experience) to working overe there.

Thanks for any info or insight.

Jeff
