Hi everyone.
My husband has just accepted a job in Kuwait and we will be moving there in late Feb 2010. It has all come about very quickly we feel a bit shell shocked! I have been trying to do some research on life for expats in kuwait. I stumbled across this site and so please to see how helpful you all are! The other sites I found have not been very complimentary about moving to Kuwait.
I am interested in hearing your experiences out in Kuwait. I have so many questions I don’t know where to begin.
I am a stay at home mum and have a 4 year old daughter and 10 month old son. I was wondering if there is anyone else in a similar situation. What is it like to raise children there and what facilities are there for kids? Also can anyone recommend good british/english schools?
Other questions I have are where are the good areas to live, can we get british food/medical supplies there or is it worth bringing it over? How easy is it to get secound hand furniture and should we bring our elecrical goods from england?
I could go on and on....I hope I haven't gone on too much :-)
