G.U.S.T in Kuwait

Hello folks,

I'm considering a faculty appointment at the Gulf University of Science and Technology in Kuwait.

Do you know anything about this institution?

I'm a little concerned that there is not specific appointment...seems to be ongoing unless one party or the other opts out, with a 6month notice.

Not sure if this is a stable sort of offer or not. Also, housing is subsidized, but not provided...so there would be the necessity to find a place upon arrival.

I've no experience in the middle east, so I've no way of judging what is standard.

Sure would appreciate some perspective.
