I was wondering if anyone here has some experience in the procedures for obtaining the residency to work in Kuwait in the private sector, as I've already begun the process but have some specific questions.
Upon arrival, can the expat live with a friend for some time or do they need a valid rental contract? Are there any certain procedures that are required (e.g. submitting something with MOI, any documentation that needs to be presented somewhere?)
Also, does the Work Authorization differ from the Work Permit? I had already obtained the work permit and the entry visa, so does the expat have to apply for the work authorization after coming into Kuwait? And what is the validity of this document?
I've been looking at different resources, but as anyone who lives in Kuwait knows, you can't easily find all the information in one place. I have a few more questions, but I'll leave these here for now and see if it gets any bites. Any help in this long and arduous process would be greatly appreciated!
