Family moving to Klaipeda

Hello, My family of two children, ages 16 and 12 and two adults are thinking of moving to Klaipeda. A job is already lined up. Should we have any safety concerns or anything we should be warned of beforehand? We are Americans but have lived in Japan and West Africa previously so we are not new to adjusting to other cultures. If you have any suggestions we would really appreciate it.
