We have been to the Netherlands many times and really appreciate the quality of life. However, we understand from a friend in Haarlem that the red tape to establish visitor residency can be significant. Is this correct? Is the housing crunch in Leiden worse than Amsterdam? The last thing we want to do is force out a local in the real estate market. We see enough of that in the United States!
