Just wondering if anyone has information about driver's licenses in Morocco. I have lived in Marrakech for almost 5 years now. I have always used an international driver's license to drive. However, my Virginia license has now expired and the DMV no longer allows renewal of driver's licenses though the mail. You have to go in person. I am not able to travel to the States to get a renewal done. Therefore, I cannot renew the Int'l one. I was wondering if anyone out there has ever been in this kind of predicament and what did you do? Is there a special type of license that expats can get while living abroad (some type of agency in Morocco, I mean). Or has anyone been successful at getting a Moroccan driver's license. I have been told that one can go to an Auto ecole and take the test in English and get a license but I have not investigated that yet. Anyone who can help? Much appreciated.
