Living under Muslim Law

My husband (who is a Moroccan citizen) and I (a US citizen) will be moving to Morocco in June with 3 children (all boys). Some of my family are concerned about us living under muslim law, particulary concerning the ability to transport my boys out of the country without his permission. My husband and I are discussing writing up a notarized paper to discuss how we would like this handled. Has anyone dealt with this or does anyone have any suggestions?
