ADSL connection for 6 months

Am living in Tangier for 6 months and really need an ADSL line instead of the wifi key I currently have. The Telecom Maroc shop I visited will only give us an ADSL connection if we subscribe to the phone for 1é months but we can't do that as only have our flat for 6 months.

Wondering if anyone else has encountered this - is it normal to have to take the phone for 12 months, and is there any sneaky ways around it??

Cheers.
