Moving to Tangier

I have been an expat in Ecuador for 6 years but now considering a move to Tangier. The budget is tight and I have consulted numbeo.com as to cost of living, but would like to hear directly from some people with their feet on the ground. I live simply in that I don't drink alcohol, eat out regularily, need to own a car. or need a large fancy home. Is it possible to live on 10,000 dirhams a month without being too restrictive?
