Kids and donkeys

Does anyone in this forum have experience with bringing kids to Nepal? Has there been any threats of kidnapping made against expat kids in Nepal? What about allowing expat kids into Nepali schools? Does that depend on our visa type?

What about kid-friendly trekking? Any recommendable trekking agencies that have special itineraries setup for kids? We actually want to help setup some kid-friendly trekking programs in Nepal, probably in Helambu.

Finally, have any of you come accross trekking agencies that offer donkey or mule treks? We want to buy or rent two or three of them for a family trek, but don't know how to start, nor whether there are any rules against walking with donkeys in the Helambu or Garnesh Himal regions. I know there are lots of donkey trains near Anapurna, but wonder why not around Helambu. Any ideas ?
