Transferring money to the UK

Hello,

Looking for advice and experiences of others on this forum with regards to sending money from Oman to the UK. A preliminary search on the web has revealed that there are very few foreign exchange firms that deal with OMR. I'm left with the rather expensive option of using my bank or the local commercial exchanges, both of which offer unreasonable exchange rates and service fees in the range of GBP 10 - 12.5.

Any suggestions?
