I am coming to Karachi to work, and most of my suits are heavy material. I am going through Bangkok and remain undecided if I should buy suits there or in Karachi. What are the prices of decent suits in Karachi? Any other additional info on Karachi would be most welcomed.

most suits can be tailor made once u r here....

u choose yr material design and its custom made

there are various places

Moosajees on 26th St , Defense Phase 5

A shop in a mall called The Forum cant remember the name ...sorry!

And there is a place in another mall called Park Towers

Once u r here wander around the 2 Malls and u will find shops and maybe even find a ready made suit suitable 4 yr needs

may i ask who yr job is with in karachi??

prices vary but they r not too expensive ...

usually u can tell them yr budget and they will find u a suit or tailor u a suit within your budget

best go shopping with a local if u r a foreigner as even the best of shops will try rip u off !

hate saying it but its a reality

a shop made my hubby pay 600 rupees for a SIM that costs less than 200 coz he is Australian and looks white an non pakistan!

Mosaajee on the 26th street, DHA Karachi is a reasonable place to hv your suit stitched. the material would cost Rs 6,000/- to Rs 25,000/- depends on what u chose and the stitching would cost Rs 4,000/-. A reasonable suit shall cost Rs 10,000/- all in all.

another good shop is on zamzama by the name of ambassador tailor. here the stitching shall cost Rs 7,000/- for a 2 piece suit plus the fabric.

if you have time and you want to do some adventure, go to mehboob market opposite cooperative market. here the same fabric shall cost Rs 2,500/-, which is Rs 6,000/- in Mossajee and Ambassador.

i hope you would find the info informative.

Junaid's post is right on compared with suit prices in Lahore. I had a suit made for my brother and paid less than $100 for medium quality material.

Pakistan has excellent tailors. Just ask around in the business community once you arrive in Karachi. There is a huge variety of textiles available for suiting materials.
