Visiting Karachi

Hi

My fiance and i met in Cyprus whilst we were both living there. We both left last year with the hope of being together in the UK within 6 months. Visas etc have been difficult and we have not seen eachother for 11 months. I am planning to visit Karachi soon to see him and just wondered if there is any advice on safety etc and also observing dress / culture etc. I have visited India many times but understand that pakistan is very different. Any advice appreciated.
