I have been looking at various sites for house rentals or sales outside of the cities. A LOT of them look like prisons with all the bars on windows barbed wire topped fences, concertina wire, etc. Yet I search this forum for mention of crime and find nothing much mentioned. Is the crime rate really high? If not why all the protection? If so why is there no mention of it here?
