Hello all - first I must thank each of you for taking the time to respond to questions from future expats. The information you provide is invaluable and I really appreciate you for doing that.

We are planning to retire to Panama (as so many others are). I will be retiring early at 62 and my husband is already retired and is 72. It is our understanding that if we apply for and obtain residency status, we will be eligible for the national insurance program. Can anyone tell me more about that and what services would be available.
