Where are the highlands in Panama? I prefer cooler weather, about 1000-3000 feet in elevation. Are there any north of Panama City, around Boquete or David maybe? We are driving down from Costa Rica next week. We need to leave CR because of an unforeseen immigration requirement. We can stay in Panama for as long as 5 months and are looking to rent a house. We know very little about Panama and would appreciate any advise on how to find a rental in a city higher up and in northern Panama. Thank you!
