Rental Timing

We would appreciate a little info &/or advice from the group. Our plan has been to move to Boquete as soon as our house in the states sells. We were expecting that would be no later than by this past June or July which would have put us in Boquete at a good time.

Unfortunately, it has not sold yet and we are rapidly approaching peak season in Boquete. So our question is, if it turns out we sell in the middle of the season, how hard will it be to get a rental & at what price?

Our plan is to rent something initially for maybe 6 months, furnished and then when we are better settled find a longer term unfurnished rental to our liking.

So our question is, how hard will it be to find that rental in season and at what price?

As an FYI - The type of places we have been looking at online that would fit for the first 6 months seemed to have been running about $700-900 mo.

We would appreciate any input.
