Building Contractor Negotiations and markups

Hi there,

Does anyone know how much minimum a contractor in Panama would mark up a quote to build a house, as room for negotiating the price? Anyone have any info based on experience? Does anyone know what the supplier discount is to contractors en Panama' ? Going rate for building labor?

I know that expat lack of comfort with negotiating has caused prices to really increase in Panama, I am trying to do my homework.
