Exploding laptop kills Panama Pastor on Monday

A 51-YEAR-OLD Pastor died last Monday night, March 12 after his laptop computer exploded causing injuries to his face and other parts of his body.

Néstor Javier Morales was working at 11:20 p.m.at his home in Paso Canoas Arriba, in the corregimiento of Progreso in Barú when the explosion occurred. El Siglo reports that he ran outside calling for help but collapsed and died in front of the house.

It is believed that the laptop’s battery overheated, causing the explosion. Authorities are investigating. I have not seen a report of the Laptop brand name, nor the manufacturer of the battery.
