Container Shipping Nightmare

An associate of mine, also in the financial world of banking and investments, decided to move to Panama from Dubai. Here are some problems to look out for when shipping a container:

So the plot thickens... last week I told you about the drama I've been having with my shipping container; it literally has everything I own in it.

A bit of detective work has uncovered what is going on...

We paid Seabrook Freight & Handling to ship our stuff from Dubai to Panama, Seabrook took the money and outsourced the work to CP World LLC. It seems Maersk Line is the actual ships themself.

Now Seabrook has gone out of business and closed their doors, the scumbag, I mean owner of Seabrook Chris Bekker took the money but never paid Maersk or CP World.

He changed the name of his company from Seabrook Freight & Handling to Seabrook Cargo Service and is trying to continue to do business.

We are on a WhatsApp group with literally hundreds of people who want to see this man dead. I will not repeat what some of the people are saying about this guy, but trust me it is not looking good for him. I guess a lot of the people he screwed over are in South Africa and they are furious...

Some peoples containers have gone missing, some never got shipped even though payment was made and others are stuck in port at destination like ours is.

At this point CP World in Dubai has our container hostage because they are holding the original bill of lading - they will not release it until they get paid from Seabrook.

Port fees are at about $2000 USD now and continue to go up everyday.

We have lawyers on 3 continents trying to figure out what is going on, this is such a mess...

Thank you for the dozens of emails I got from people offering help, that is so amazing of you. At this point we just have to put pressure on CP World in Dubai to surrender the OBL and stop trying extort my family.

Until I get my shipping container with all my studio equipment I will not be publishing any more podcast interviews, this has stressed me to the max.

The container contains the better part of my personal library of several thousand books, all my daughters toys, my wedding and honeymoon photos, all our clothes etc... I think you get the point... I am not a very materialistic person but this stuff does mean a lot to us...
