I love the dream of retiring to Panama (which would be about 10 years from now).
However, before that happens I want to travel Panama and do a tour of all of Panama over a 2 week time period. The problem is what should be on the list and what mode of travel should I do. I would be flying in and out of Panama City.
I want to see mountains, beach, and everything inbetween. Less about tourist hot spots and more about planning a place to live and still see the country. I would love to have time to spend a little time in each place to "experience" it and not just drive through it.
Which brings me to how to travel? Should I rent a car? What are costs and things to be prepared for?
Any must dos? Any avoid at all costs? Any help at all would be appreciated.
I think right now the tour would be Panama City, David, Boquete, Bocas del Toro. Would love to find some pacific beach towns closer to Panama City. I also love mountains and jungles so again any insight would be appreciated
