Coming to Panama

My sister and I will be there in March 2026 to explore places to retire for my husband (in a wheelchair) and myself. I have heard that El Valle de Anton is very walkable with well maintained sidewalks. But we do want to check out Boquete and I had no idea that Boquete to El Valle is a
5 to 8 hour drive! Would you suggest renting a car or taking a bus? I'm very nervous about driving there l, but it's nothing I can't get over once we're on the way.
Also, what type of transportation is the best for coming from Panama City to either one of those cities?
