Retiring to Sri Lanka

Hi, I'm in the process of researching and planning my retirement to Sri Lanka from Quebec, Canada. I am planning on moving there sometime in 2027 with my dog and cat and would appreciate any information or assistance that anyone could offer me. I will be looking in the area of Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, or Galle for a rental property. I previously stayed in Sri Lanka in 1979 for 3 months and loved it. I will now return. My plan is to first go there to find a property to rent, and then to return to Canada for a short period to finalize my move. Any information on bringing pets would be helpful. Thank you
