Crime Situation in Lima

Hello Everyone,

I am considering to retire in Lima with my wife (Peruvian national) and my three year old daughter. We currently live in north Texas after retiring from the service. I am concerned regarding safety and security (and so many other things too (water quality, healthcare, schools, etc). I will appreciate any updates on the current situation in Lima or any other suggestions on where to live in Peru. Thank you!
