Banking

I plan to retire in Taiwan. I am wondering how difficult it will be to transfer my assets from my banks in the U.S. to banks in Taiwan. I have heard it is difficult to find banks willing to accept tranfers of large amounts from U.S. banks due to the FBAR reporting laws. I currently don't have a bank account in Taiwan although my wife has one small account started. Any recommendations on which banks to possibly use.
