Hello to all. My wife and I are moving to Krakow from Virginia in July. We would like to know if anyone can recommend a process for moving (small amounts) of personal belongings (no large furniture or cars, but boxes of books, appliances, clothes, etc.) We have not been able to figure out if it is cheaper to ship boxes ourselves or hire a moving company.
A second question: how have others dealt with moving electric appliances, computers, stereos, etc., given the different voltage and the three-prong plug? I've heard that transformers can be purchased in Poland tha will do the trick. Is this so? Are they expensive?
