Let's talk taxes and retirement

So as I consider option as regards a move to Poland, one immediate thing that comes to mind are taxes and retirement. Now I do ok on both counts working for Cisco Systems here in the US. If I took the same job over to Poland, what would be the comparative tax and 401k equivalent impact. For example, if I make $60k here in the US, my understanding is that in Poland, anything over $19k Euro ($25kUS) would be taxed at 40%. Is that true? I heard there might be legislation to change to a flat rate or perhaps 2 flat rates but what is really the deal here.
On the second item, here in the US we have 401ks, which are a pretty good deal overall. What is the equivalent in Poland and is it pre-tax or post-tax?
Any ideas out there?
Thanks
Ramon
