How do you teach a preschooler about her native culture and language when international school is not on option?

I moved back to Warsaw from US with a 2 year old. After 2 years in public preschool she forgot almost all english. While sending her to all English speaking preschool is not an option, I do want her to teach her about the American culture and ensure she learns the language. Are there any parents with simmilar dilema out there?

Hello from Thailand. I"m an American ExPat and have become somewhat of an expert in teaching languages over my 26 years here and 6 years in Europe. I would suggest that you get her animated cartoons and movies that have sound tracks in both English and Polish. Let her listen to them in Polish first and then the second time in English....and of course, talk to her in both languages Mom!!! And one of the best ways to help that remembering process along...is to talk to he/she in both languages "phrase by phrase" with Polish going first and immediately followed by what that 1st phrase meant....but in English!! I have an approved USPTO patent (#8,789,826) doing this very thing and its called Neural Pathways Language Splicing/NPLS. Good Luck to you both....have Dad do the same thing!
