Moving abroad

Hi everyone,

I’m new to the forum and hoping to get some advice from those who have experience living in the UAE. I’m a single mum of four children and currently considering a move to the UAE for work and a better quality of life for my family.

I’d love to hear from other parents—especially single parents—about what day-to-day life is like. I’m particularly interested in understanding schooling options, cost of living, housing, healthcare, and how manageable it is to balance work and family life. I’d also appreciate any insights into which emirates or areas are most family-friendly.

If anyone has made a similar move or has advice on things I should consider (or prepare for) before relocating, I’d be very grateful to hear your thoughts.
