I plan on traveling to Spain and Portugal between April 20 and May 12, 2004. I would like to meet and interview individuals who reside in Barcelona, Bilbao, San Sebastion, Madrid, Sevilla,or Arcos or Granada or close by these cities. I will use these intereviews for my radio program in the US entitled "Keeping Kurrent." This show is aired on Oregon Public Broadcasting out of Portland, Oregon.

I want to talk to expats about your personal experiences in moving to Spain, what makes Spain enjoyable, your views of the US from abroad, etc. Please let me know if you are intrerested.

More than happy to chat to you. I'm a British expat, living in Madrid - been here 5 years. I work for an international relocation company so have a lot of expat experiences to draw upon.

Please feel free to contact me on [email protected]

Best regards

Verity Bailey

Thanks for your response. I haven't completed all my plans, however, I
think that I will be in Madrid on late Thursday, Friday and Saturday (April
29, 30 and May 1). I will leave on May 2nd - Sunday if there is a train
heading north. Let me know if any of these days work better for you. I
generally talk with someone for about 20 - 40 minutes.

Can you provide any info on when/where it will air or how to access it from VA? I'd be interested in what they say.

Keeping Kurrent can be heard by going to the web site http://www.opb.org. On the bottom of the page you will see on the bottom of the page "Golden Hours Audio Stream." Double click on this and follow the instructions. You will hear the programs that are, at that moment, on the air.

I can also send you a copy of a program, a CD, which you can hear about previous expat shows.

I don't know when the show will air, however, I will give you some advance notice. You could listen the show live at 8 p.m. Wednesday, but your time would be early morning around 5 a.m. on Thursday morning.
