You can stay with pension, but keep in mind that it is taxable. The UK State retirement pension is always paid gross in the UK, but for other pension income, HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) will continue to deduct tax at source until they are satisfied that you are both resident in and paying tax on this income in Spain. So to my opinion it is better to choose one.

"That is a fantastic life-changing decision, to the better. Spain has long topped the list of hotspots for Brits seeking a life in the sun. It’s not hard to see why – there’s great weather, a lower cost of living, a decent healthcare system and a laidback way of life, all just two hours’ flight from the UK.
For me, it all started when I saw an ad which was https://www.realestateespanol.com/ and it did seem to have caught my attention. Britons and other EU nationals don't need a visa to visit, live, work or study in Spain. So, in the end, there is no reason not to go. Once I did get here I soon came to realize that the cost of living in Spain is much lower than in other western European countries. I would suggest anyone take the chance and try to settle in Spain."
