Don't like heat!

Hi all - Buenos Dias! My parents had a business in Southern Spain so I spent a lot of time there in my teenage years. I'm considering retirement there.

HOWEVER, I am not crazy about the heat so Southern Spain isn't ideal for me.

Any suggestions on Northern cities in Spain? I'm considering a trip to Bilbao but it seems pricey. Any other ideas? Gracias!!

I'm moving to the North of Spain in April most likely to A Coruña in Galicia but in November I'll go visit Gijon and Oviedo in Asturias. The cost of living there is also very reasonable.

We've visited Santander and are considering it for a move in a few years. It gets about as much sun annually as Seattle does, and summertime highs are typically in the mid-to-upper 70s (Fahrenheit, obviously). Not nearly as pricey as Bilbao. We plan to visit other cities like Gijon and A Coruña too.

Vigo, Santiago de Compostela and Acoruña are some nice cities in the North of Spain. There is also a small quiet town called Villanova de Arousa.
