Hi, we are husband and wife (73 and 65) and we would appreciate the possibility to get in touch with any USA expats that live in Spain for questions regarding banking (USA and Spain), transfer of funds, taxes (USA and Spain), etc...
There is a lot of information in the internet but some of it is confusing or it does not apply to our specific situation.
We are trying to determine if this is feasible for us (we hope it would be)
We would be very grateful for the input of anybody that has been through this process already.
If somebody answers we would appreciate if you can tell us how to communicate in a more direct fashion.
Thank you very much

Yes all is possible. Not difficult.
Don’t know how to send you a private note. Advise if you know.

Many people successfully do all of that on their own.; but if you do not feel comfortable, an immigration consultant might be in order. There are many resources available through expat groups on FB. I hate FB, but it does have its uses.

Hi Vicaspain. I had to learn a lot of all those things you are asking about. I use currency fair to transfer my USD to EUR ... hardly any commissions and the rates are the most competitive. Taxes was a landmine that I never saw coming ... reporting worldwide income, higher income tax rates, plus a wealth tax and inheritance tax. Living and learning every day. If you have any specific questions, shoot ... I'll share with you any of my experiences. Cheers, J
