My family is Canadian, and we are currently on an expat assignment in HCMC, Vietnam. I LOVE Vietnam, but there is the possibility of us relocating to Istanbul. I think that Istanbul would be facinating, but the thought of an earthquake terrifies me! The bird flu in Vietnam made me nervous, but this scares me more! Am I being paranoid? Are there places that you can live in Istanbul that are considered "safe"?
