Volunteering at Museums /Arts

Hello to All!

Has anyone here volunteered at museum or arts and crafts projects during their stay in Turkey? Would enjoy hearing more about their experiences. If I do spend time in izmir getting lots of teeth fixed, i would like to volunteer at a museum or arts and crafts project. Has anyone done this? I wonder hwat museums or researchers would be worth approaching.I have some backgound in the history of the eastern Mediterranean and enjoy art in general. Are there any history buffs here? Thanks Sunny11
