Cost of living 2022

I have read lots of blogs saying it is possible to live comfortably on $500 of around £400 a month. Is this still the case given the global cost of living increase? I am prepared to live modestly but do not want to be "on the bread line".
Also, I would like to know about clubs and activities where I can meet other expats.
Has anyone got experience of finding teaching work either privately or in a language school in the area?
Are there Turkish language courses and what is the approximate cost. I am using Duolingua at the moment.
