Arabic course

Hi I am thinking about relocating to the UAE because I am very interested in Arab culture. Having been to the Emirates a few times myself I understand that most of the residents there are not in fact Arabs. I just wonder to what extent one can still make Arab friends or do things related to Arab culture generally e.g. studying a part-time Arabic course after work?

I would also like to know people who would be willing to tell me a bit more about the place e.g. how does it compare to other Gulf regions e.g. Bahrain, whether it is a very fast-paced country etc - so if you can spare some time, please leave your email address.
