UAE Bound

I am a 26 year male from canada who is thinking about moving to Dubai or surrounding areas and looking for advice from others on there way there or already residing in the UAE. I have been on a few websites such as jobsindubai.com but have not found anything else very trusting. If anyone has any advice or knows any websites that could help me find employment I would be very thanksful or that. As well I have a 1 year old puppy, does anybody know the rules and regulations of bring a pet over seas.
