IT Jobs In Abu Dhabi?

I am an IT - Software Engineer who has been trying unsuccesfully to find work in Abu Dhabi. I am thinking of making a trip with my wife in October 2008 to try and setup interviews etc.

What is the best way to approach finding an IT job in the Middle East? What type of Salaries can be expected?
