I posted under another thread but thought I would also make a new one as it was an old thread. I am moving this year to Al Ain with my husband and 2 boys ages 10 and 14. I am having trouble finding a school for them as we are not from the U.K. they have only had American curriculum. I do not prefer to home school as I feel they would be better educated in school than with me.
The schools also seem very expensive. I am hoping to find a nice villa or town home with at least 4 bedrooms, as my husband will need an office, we also have older children that will be visiting so five bedrooms is also good. I would love to have a pool even if a shared one as I am accustomed to having one here. Our income will be about 16k in American dollars a month. Is that a decent salary for the area to live comfortably do some shopping and save? I know initially we will be broke with the rent and car purchases. Any advice and information is greatly appreciated as I have never been out of the United Sates and am very nervous! Thank you!
