Thoughts on retiring to Hue, Da Nang or Hoi An?

We plan on visiting and staying in all three cities beginning in January of next year and after living in each for a month we hope to be able to decide. We do not want to live in HCMC - to congested, nor Hanoi - not temperate enough. Thoughts?
