How are things going since moving to St. Lucia with you and your family? I have kids too and was exploring what the schooling options were including if homeschool was an option.

Hello and greetings! My family and I are exploring options to move abroad in the very near future and in the research process of narrowing a location down. We love St. Lucia but we are not 100% set on moving there as there is more to learn but it is in our top 3 destinations. I’m hoping to learn from all of you who have made the move and receive insight from any advice you may find helpful for someone in the beginning phases of preparing to move abroad.

My name is Chelsey Cook. I'm an entrepreneur in the Arts. I would love to move to St Lucia, open a Art Collective like the two I've had here in the states. I enjoy sharing others talent in a retail setting, Selling the local artists work to all that come through. I enjoy helping others grow their small businesses through a shared space. I'd like to be open 5 days a week and help support the Island Economy. It's been a dream for over 10 years now. I'm finally in the planning stages. With my kids grown and gone, this is my time. I want to enjoy slowing down, supporting what I love and want to be a part of a close knit community. I'm also an Artist myself, Aspiring Fashion and Jewelry Designer. I have am entire Portfolio of Island and Resort wear that I plan to bring to life when I get there as well. I am dying to make this life change. Any advice, assistance or information to help me kickstart this journey welcomed! Peace & Love Chelsey

Considering Saint Lucia bound for retirement from US.
Looking to explore options and hopefully gain on-site from those who have done the same.

Hi there. My wife and I are thinking of becoming digital nomads in Saint Lucia for a year. We are looking for a nice place where we can be together while some other bureaucratic processes sort themselves out. I am an adjunct professor at several online universities. That work, plus my retirement, will be more than sufficient to support us in this kind of environment. We have several questions about the multiple re-entry visa application process. We would appreciate any help we can get.

Hi, we did the same 3 years ago. Yes there's been struggles and some days we ask ourselves WHY? However we wouldn't change a thing. We love our life now and we are so much healthier. We don't miss much in the uk apart from proper fish and chips. If you need any information or just a chat im happy to share our experiences. Julie

My wife and I (in our early 70s) will be visiting St Lucia May 1st - 10th staying in Laborie, Castries and Soufriere. We really hope to sell/give away just about everything we've accumulated over 50 years and move from Texas to the island. We are researching the prospect of being permanent residents but kinna choke on the $140,000 to obtain citizenship - hope there's another way! We welcome any pointers from those of you who know the ropes.

I am a Canadian in my thirties, i travelled extensively with my family when I was a teenager (four years on the road) before meeting my Dutch husband in Africa and settling in Holland 14 years ago. We now have three small boys (oldest is 4) and want to escape to the sun and avoid very strict school laws. We want to be able to continue to travel the world and visit family abroad and not be restricted to inflexible school holidays. I know from my travels (100+ countries) its the people not the destination that makes it memorable. I’m hoping to meet some “key players” who can enrich our lives on the island. So if you’re an open minded person with or without kids, we want to connect and live life to the fullest. We will run our company from abroad, so are not restricted to work hours etc. We are moving in September and have rented a villa in Cap Estate. Our children will go to international Wee Wisdom Montessori school. See you there!

Hi everybody! I'm planning a trip to St. Lucia later on in the year to look at properties and places to stay. I'm hoping to relocate by the end of the year. I'm excited for this new chapter in my life to start (and a little nervous). I look forward to learning more about this beautiful island and the people who have relocated and of course the local communities.

I’d like to come and visit for a few weeks to get a feel for the island. To see if I would like to spend four months out of the year every year there. The research I’ve done so far tells me it’s a beautiful place to live.

Ive lived and worked in the Middle East for around 20 years of my life and I miss the sunshine.
Now that I have retired, St Lucia seems attractive particularly during the UK winter months.
I would be interested in buying something on the island -perhaps a letting property so would like advice from those with experience. The4 management fees seem high on some for example.
