Get ready for the regular opening of the VFS calendars for visa appointments. At the start and mid-point of each month, VFS offices in the US open their calendars for the coming 2 months. Go to your location's website at off-hours and remember these tips: each person needs an appointment; you can only make one appointment at a time; if you reach an error message, empty your cache, change browser, wait a couple of hours. As each VFS site has a slightly different menu, I can't offer you standard instructions on choices, so note that you seek a National Visa or Long Term Visa. Honestly, as the same agents work with any type of visa for Portugal, you won't go wrong no matter what appointment type you select.
