What do expats find most challenging?

Answer this Question

We asked expats and digital nomads what they find the most challenging about the local culture in Spanish Wells. They wrote...

"Expats in Spanish Wells may find the slow pace of life challenging, as the local culture values relaxation and leisure over the hustle and bustle of city life. They may also struggle with the island's isolation, as Spanish Wells is a small community with limited access to amenities and services that expats might be accustomed to in larger cities. The local dialect, which is a unique blend of English and various African languages, can also be difficult to understand for those not familiar with it. Additionally, the local cuisine, which heavily features seafood, may not appeal to everyone's tastes. Lastly, the high cost of living, particularly for imported goods, can be a significant challenge for expats living in Spanish Wells," remarked another expat who made the move to Spanish Wells, Bahamas.
