We asked expats and digital nomads what they find the most challenging about the local culture in Nadi. They wrote...

"Settling in and finding somewhere you are happy to live. Once you find your shop that you know will not charge you extra, you can get cheap fruit and vege," commented one expat who made the move to Nadi, Fiji.

"Expats in Nadi often find the local culture to be quite different from what they are used to. The language barrier can be a challenge, as English is not widely spoken in Fiji. Additionally, the local customs and traditions can be difficult to understand and navigate. Expats may also find it difficult to adjust to the slower pace of life in Fiji, as well as the more relaxed attitude towards timekeeping. Finally, the hot and humid climate can be a challenge for those who are not used to it," remarked another expat in Nadi, Fiji.
